ResidentHello!
This is Natsupon, the Traveling Writer Girl.
From the second half of December to the first half of January, I was in Chigasaki City, Kanagawa. I stayed at terasu, the Chigasaki base of Kizunaya Sharehouse, and I would like to share my daily schedule with you!
“What is a day in the life of a traveler like?”
“What was your life like in Chigasaki?”
I’m going to show you the naked truth about my life in Chigasaki! (*Of course, there are no nudes here! (laughs))
8:00 Breakfast
First, I wake up and eat. Breakfast is usually yogurt and fruits. Kiwi slices make the dish look stylish, which really lifts up my spirits!
9:00 Starting Work
I start work at 9.
I check my schedule, reply to chat messages, and do some writing.
12:00 Lunch
I usually make and eat lunch at home.
On this day, I had a open sandwich muffin salad plate. (I just piled some leftovers on a plate.) I eat between work assignments, so I keep it simple.
15:00 Cafe for a Change
I get sleepy working after lunch, so I go outside for a walk for a change. I find a nice cafe and wander in. This is Serendipity Cafe, located near the sharehouse.
The sunlight streaming in through the windows and the atmosphere in the cafe are lovely.
On this day, I ordered the cake set.
I forgot the name, but the rich chocolate cake was delicious!
16:00 Walk on the Beach
Southern Beach is about 10 minutes from the house on foot.
The sea changes every day; sometimes there are waves, sometimes none at all.
I never get tired of it.
16:20 Croquettes on the Way Home
There’s a meat shop on the way back, and I couldn’t resist the croquettes.
Just like back in middle school!
This time, I got creamy crab croquettes.
If your timing is good, you get to eat them in silence!
17:00 Back to Work
This is how I work.
Incidentally, the Chigasaki sharehouse had a work space separate from my room, so I often used the private work space when doing Zoom meetings.
21:30 Finishing Work
Great work, everyone!
22:00 Laundry
I suddenly realize I haven’t done the laundry.
The washing machine is fully automatic, which is handy!
22:10 Cooking
Here’s the kitchen. It’s a bit late, but I cook a simple dinner.
22:30 Dinner
I was alone in the living room on this day, so I ate while watching TV.
The living room is large, and you can have the TV all to yourself!
23:00 Ice Cream & Relaxation
At some point, the residents of the sharehouse gathered to share ice cream. We ate ice cream while watching TV.
24:30 Sleep
Good night! 💤

Chigasaki Sharehouse “terasu”
Finally, I would like to introduce the Chigasaki sharehouse where I lived for a month.
The house is located in a quiet residential area less than a 20 minute walk from Chigasaki Station.
Apparently it has been renovated from a former restaurant, and both the outside and inside look very stylish with an international flair.
The Atmosphere of the Chigasaki Sharehouse
When considering living in a sharehouse, you may be wondering about the atmosphere.
At the Chigasaki sharehouse, there’s a high level of freedom, and the tenants don’t interfere too much with each other,
However, when we get together, we drink and have fun.
The people are fun and relaxed, so it’s very easy to live here.
The table soccer in the living room was a lot of fun!
We also had a Christmas party!
There were a lot of skilled cooks in the house.
Many tenants are into surfing.
We would sometimes wake up at 6 AM to watch people surf.
The girls ate breakfast on the beach.
A perfect morning!
If you would like to hear more about this sharehouse in Chigasaki,
or Kizunaya Sharehouse itself, please get in touch via LINE!
Finally, in my next post I will be introducing a walk map of the Chigasaki area!
I post about my travels on Instagram, so please check it out!
Thank you for reading!
