A house with old-world charm in a trendy central district

Located in Kichijoji, Tokyo, komorebi is a sharehouse for 12 men and women, all with private rooms. In 2023, we rebranded and opened this house as a Kizunaya sharehouse in this area, which is often called the "No.1 area to live in."

Located in the center of Tokyo, Kichijoji is a compact town where you can find everything you need.
With fashionable shopping malls and cafes in front of the station, there is no shortage of things to do and places to go.

A 5 to 10 minute walk away from the bustling streets, quiet residential areas line the streets, and the area is known as a safe and comfortable place to live.

In the heart of the trendy city, komorebi is a house with old-world charm, and is characterized by its retro-style building with a nostalgic air to it.

Retro-style house in Kichijoji

“Sharehouse komorebi” is a tasteful old private house located a 6-minute walk from Kichijoji Station on the Chuo Line.

The name “komorebi” means sunlight filtering through the tree leaves. You will surely understand the naming when you visit this environment filled with greenery.

We’ve added a bit of color to an environment where time seems to flow just a little slower.

At the end of the tunnel

A tree tunnel straight from a fairy tale leads you to the house. You are excited to find out what lies at the other end.
You walk through a large garden with a pond to the entrance.

Colorful retro interior

The shared living space has undergone a slight renovation in 2023.
With a retro motif, we’ve added a bit of color to the nostalgic environment. In this room, time seems to flow just a bit slower.

The shared space consists of a living room, a kitchen, a bath, and a restroom, as well as a veranda filled with greenery.
The house has the unique atmosphere of an old private house, which we hope you will experience when you visit the house for a preview.
We are sure you will feel a sense of calmness.

    FAQ

    Q symbol

Can I move-in even though I cannot speak local language?

Since Kizuna House is a share house where residents interact actively with each other, we receive many comments from residents that they are able to study the language by interacting actively with their share mates. Many residents have just begun their studies or are visiting Japan for the first time.
In particular, share houses with the concept of international exchange tend to have many people who are interested in foreign languages and cultures and want to speak English in their daily lives. Rest assured, many have actually improved their language skills since moving in!

    Q symbol

How much does it cost to move in?

Initial fee of 44,000 yen and the first month's rent and utilities must be paid within 3 business days after the reservation is confirmed. (Bedding set includes sheets, mattress pad, futon, duvet cover, pillow, pillowcase, and blanket.)

*Rent and utilities for the first month will be prorated from the date of move-in.
