Located in Kashiwa, Chiba, 29 minutes from Ueno and 34 minutes from Tokyo, HASH196 is the largest share house in the area. There are many reasons to choose HASH196, such as working people who want to keep rent low while commuting to the city center, people who work mainly remotely and find the co-working space and ample shared space appealing, and families who want to raise their children in a diverse environment.
There are a total of seven shared spaces!
One of the largest selection of spaces in Chiba Prefecture. There are 7 exclusive shared spaces that can be used freely 24 hours a day, including a theater room, seating space, sofa space, coworking space, dining room, and garden terrace.
The “196” in HASH196 is the number of countries in the world. The house warmly welcomes people who are interested in Japan from all around the world, and we hope that the entire world will live as friends under the same roof. Families with children are also welcome here. You can watch over the children’s growth as if they are your own relatives. Here you can find families, students, working age adults, people of various ages, cultures, and jobs aged between 1 and 40.
The house features a coworking space that can be used for free 24 hours a day. It is perfect for remote workers. In the same house, you can find a private room, a lively living room that feels like a cafe, and a coworking space for quiet concentration. You can choose your space for working or studying depending on how you feel that day! We hope this environment can help you live your life to the fullest. Even when you feel like you’re hitting a dead end, you can take a short coffee break and enjoy a chat with your housemates in the kitchen – something that you cannot do when living alone.
The living room is a space where you can relax and enjoy your free times. Watch TV or play video games or even board games here. Root for your favorite sports team with your housemates, enjoy your favorite TV show, or challenge your friends in your favorite video game. It is a place where everyone can have fun. Just be careful not to fall asleep while watching a late-night movie here.
The house also features a theater room, a kids’ room, a garden area with a lawn, and even an atelier. Enjoy a shared experience you can only find in this house.
You can use all of these hostels all around Japan at no extra charge, recommended for those who are considering living in multiple locations. Our partner hostels are located in Hokkaido, Sendai, Tokyo, Odawara, Kanazawa, Nagoya, Kyoto, Osaka, and even Yakushima. This is a popular plan for those who choose to live in a variety of locations while maintaining a base of residence.

Can I move-in even though I cannot speak local language?
Since Kizuna House is a share house where residents interact actively with each other, we receive many comments from residents that they are able to study the language by interacting actively with their share mates. Many residents have just begun their studies or are visiting Japan for the first time.
In particular, share houses with the concept of international exchange tend to have many people who are interested in foreign languages and cultures and want to speak English in their daily lives. Rest assured, many have actually improved their language skills since moving in!
How much does it cost to move in?
