Happy New Year to everyone!
At hug Ikebukuro we have sone our best to enjoy the holiday season with everyone who was able to participate!
Over the holidays we went for our first joint 2 day-1 night trip to Kamakura, had some great seafood and pancakes together.
For the New Year’s Eve we invited our friends from various countries for sukiyaki and soba (traditional food for the New Year’s), that everyone enjoyed while watching the TV.
Thought of going for Hatsumode (the first visit to a shrine in a particular year), but seeing how huge the queue was, decided to go back home and have some ice cream instead…
On the first day of the year there were plenty of other New Year dishes, hot pot and shiruko (red-bean dessert with mochi)…
No matter how you look at it, we were just having a lot of food!
This holiday season has brought a lot of fun memories and made all of us a bit bigger, so, personally, one of my goals this year is to start with some actual muscle training.
Some of our family members we not able to join us as they went home for the holidays, so for this year we are looking forward to creating some more great memories as much as the time permits.
So please do take care of us this year as well!
